Connor Court

A native of Swansea, Illinois, Connor Court has been passionate about hockey since the age of four, when he first learned to skate. Throughout his childhood, he remained devoted to improving his skills on the ice, which led to a successful high school career at Belleville East High School in Belleville, IL, while also playing for the St. Louis AAA Blues and CarShield programs.

Connor became a standout prospect and went on to play junior hockey for the Boston Bandits for three years. He excelled with the Bandits, earning the role of assistant captain and advancing to the collegiate level. Following his final year of junior hockey, Connor played for the University of Massachusetts–Dartmouth, where he was named assistant captain in his senior year. He was also recognized as an ACHA All-American Scholar for his outstanding academic performance.

Connor carried his love for the game into the coaching profession, beginning in 2018 with the Neponset Valley River Rats. During the 2020–21 junior hockey season, he coached for the Lincoln Stars of the USHL, where he helped develop 10 future NHL draft picks and undrafted free agents, as well as future NCAA commits and representatives for the U20 World Junior Championships and World Jr. A Challenge.

Connor arrived at South Kent in the fall of 2021 and found immediate success. Since the beginning of his tenure, he has led his teams to numerous tournament victories as head coach, including the 15O Beast League Playoffs, the Northwood School Tournament, the 2021–22 South Kent Fall Classic, the 2021–22 South Kent New Year’s Invitational, and most recently, the 15O Eastern Exposure Cup. He currently serves as head coach of the U16 team.

Since joining South Kent, Connor has made it his mission to help his players grow into well-rounded individuals, leaders both on and off the ice. He is dedicated to supporting his athletes in reaching their hockey goals while encouraging them to fulfill their potential in all areas of life. Off the ice, Connor enjoys playing golf and tennis and spending quality time with family and friends.
